Who We Are
Welcome to the official website of the Kings County Deputy Sheriff's Association (KCDSA). Thank you for your interest in learning more about our organization. We hope this website serves as a useful resource in staying up to date on all things relating to the KCDSA, the Kings County Sheriff's Department, and the County of Kings as a whole. We sincerely appreciate your unwavering support.
The KCDSA is a 95-member law enforcement association created in October of 1980. Our association is dedicated to providing fair representation based on the Peace Officer Bill of Rights. The KCDSA was also organized to give Deputy Sheriffs and District Attorney Investigators the opportunity to collectively bargain with the County of Kings for fair wages, benefits, and working conditions.
We rely heavily on public support to help accomplish our goal of maintaining competitive wages and keeping veteran law enforcement personnel. Our governing board is made up entirely of active Kings County law enforcement employees.
The KCDSA has become a part of our community as well, with generous donations to charitable organizations and with active participation from its members in community events.
In addition, the KCDSA stays politically involved in the community on issues the organization sees can affect law enforcement and the community as a whole. We strive to educate the public via our Facebook Page with information regarding propositions, politicians, laws and upcoming bills in the California legislature.
The KCDSA is an active participant in our State Association, Peace Officer’s Research Association of California (PORAC).The KCDSA is honored to be a part of the community. We strive every day to serve and protect the citizens of Kings County to the best of our ability. Thank you for your support!
